You have two arms, put them to good use.
Stretch them out, away from your body,
form a circle with a large opening, then
invite a person inside, and
surround that person with both arms.
Hold this position for at least a few seconds.
That’s a good way to have a great day.
At first, this may seem awkward, but the more often this is practiced the easier it becomes. There is a transfer of invisible warmth, also known as comfort. It’s surprising when these feelings bounce between you and the other person. After some time, friends and relatives will expect and look forward to this special greeting. You and that person will embrace the human in each other for that brief time.
These gestures, more than not, cause each person to smile if only for a split second. You will be the cause of their brains to work overtime as endorphins are released. If done often enough with the same person, conversations begin to happen, friendships start to form, and a bond grows that would not have been there before.
If this exercise were to happen and spread from one person to another, spread throughout the community, and continue through the state and then the whole world, we would be at the center of a peaceful existence.
Your assignment is to practice this task every time you venture out.
