Class synopsis

Trauma lives in the body. The feminine lives in the body. Creativity lives in the body. Explore the process of "coming back into the body" through intuitive storytelling and art. Discover the 10 stages of writing as healing, where storytelling becomes medicine, fiery truth finds its voice, and trauma transforms into a fountain of creative flow.

Materials to bring:

  • Writing & drawing pad
  • Colored markers or paints (any beginning set will do)
  • Family pictures
  • Any magazines for collage
  • Glue

Instructor bio

Marta Luzim has been working with women, families, and couples for over forty years. She is a psychospiritual therapist with an MS in Counseling Psychology and a BS in Education. An expert in women’s trauma and recovery, she is also a Next Level Practitioner in the field of trauma. Marta holds certifications as a Kaizen creative coach, metaphysician, somatic bodyworker, emotional intuitive, intimate trainer, mixed-media artist, intuitive artist/writer, storyteller of the soul, and mindfulness breathworker.

Marta is a published writer, artist, and playwright. Her novels, The Calling and Heart of a Woman, are available on Amazon. She has also written several inspirational books, including Consciousness Companion, Little Book of Consciousness, Cry Kali: Voices from My Soul, and Heart of a Woman. She is currently working on her Memoir. Her artwork will be displayed at Parkland Library in August, 2026.

She is the president of Give Her a Voice, a multimedia theatrical production featuring women’s recovery stories known as The Telling, first produced in 2010. Her play Breathing Underwater received a public reading in 2000. Marta is also the creator of Tellings Productions, which centers on women sharing their personal stories.

Marta has appeared on the Rosa Lee Archer Show and NBC News, and has been interviewed by the Sun Sentinel. She has written for CitySmart Magazine on creativity, women’s issues, and recovery, and has won awards in short story and poetry contests.

She is passionate about empowering women’s voices through Mad Genius Beauty and helping writers evoke their unique styles to create deep, bold, and transformative work through her signature courses.
