The Peace That Comes From Knowing I removed the question mark in the title. It’s not an uncertainty any longer. And it’s not so bad. I’d rather know the name of my enemy so I have a chance to fight it. For all of my life I’ve enjoyed nearly perfect health. Oh, an annual cold […]
Today a woman somewhere is laughing, weeping, grieving, or celebrating. Someone is giving birth; someone is losing a loved one to death. Relationships are forming, others are ending. For some, this will be an ordinary day filled with many of the same activities as yesterday. For others, something unexpected will suddenly make this day unforgettable, one that they may tell their children and grandchildren about in the future. In the same way that we are curious about how our grandmothers lived, future generations will be interested in learning about what an ordinary day was like in our lives.
We are looking for stories from Story Circle Network members. Think of a day in your life that you would like to write about. It may be something that happened on a specific date or something that reflects a certain holiday or season. We welcome reprint posts from your blogs too.

A Clouded Mind
A dreaded feeling came over me when I awakened at 3am this morning. What happened last night? My head scrambled and mouth so parched. A quick look at my phone would give me some indication of the mess I made. Pouring that first glass of sparkling wine would be the excitement I craved all day. […]
Walking Through Cancer? – Part 9
Listen to Your Gut I determined to continue being a squeaky wheel. The secretary I called daily told me to pay attention, instead, to my garden. Yup, she really said that. Then she stopped answering my calls. So I messaged Dr. Malakoti and asked what the two-month delay since my last PET scan was about. […]
June 10 – What Do I See?
What do I see when I drive through my old neighborhood? Not the familiar cookie cutter houses or the elementary school I attended with my friends. Instead . . . I see my ten-year-old self clad in saddle oxford shoes running around, playing hide-and-go-seek with my brothers and friends. I see us riding our bikes […]
