Be Our Guest Presentation Proposal

A Be Our Guest program is a social event open to members and guests who might want to join Story Circle Network. Typically, we schedule four each year and they are held on a Sunday afternoon. After a drink and snacking, we offer a one-hour presentation that inspires and informs in areas related to lifewriting. Story Circle Network offers these programs without charge. We cannot offer compensation for BOG presentations, but we encourage you to sign and sell your book, if you have one, or let people know about your work and/or other offerings.

A strong Be Our Guest topic is one that

encourages participants to think about their life-writing in a new way;
focuses participants' attention on writing/reading/sharing;
will attract an audience of women interested in life-writing.

A Be Our Guest presenter

is comfortable speaking to an audience of 30-50 people;
has expertise in the subject she's chosen to talk about;
is a committed life-writer.

The deadline for submitting proposals for 2003 programs is January 8, 2003. The Be Our Guest Committee will notify you regarding acceptance of your presentation proposal by January 31, 2003.
