The Story Circle Network is a national not-for-profit organization made up of women who want to explore their lives and their souls through life-writing--writing that focuses on our personal experience, through memoirs and autobiographies, in diaries and journals, in personal essays, in poetry.

In 1999 we formed a local Austin chapter.

Our Internet Chapter opened in February, 2000.

You can join the National organization, as well as the Internet and Austin chapters, by filling out our on-line form and mailing your membership dues to our office (see address below).

Annual dues are Story Circle Network (National): Member: U.S.: $35, Canada & Mexico: $45, elsewhere: $50; Organizational: $100 Supporter: $70 Sponsor: $125 Patron: $200 Benefactor: $400+ Internet Chapter: $18 (in addition to your national dues!) (International Postal Money Order for foreign membership, please; Personal Currency Assistant can help convert foreign currency to U.S. dollars)

Please note:

• To join the Internet Chapter you must be a member of the National Story Circle Network.

All Story Circle Network members receive a quarterly 16-28 page Journal. Each issue includes ideas for writing chapters of your life's story, reviews of helpful books, readers' writings, news about the on-going growth of the Story Circle Network, notes from Story Circles around the country, and a calendar of coming events.

Professional Web Page: If you offer writing-related classes, workshops, or programs, you are eligible to post information about yourself and your work on our Speakers Bureau pages. Posting on our site does not obligate you to any payment to Story Circle. You will have your own individual URL and will be able to put it on your brochures, handouts, and business cards. For an example, click on Speakers Bureau, then choose a name from our list of speakers.

Internet Chapter members can participate in our Internet Chapter activities.

Austin Chapter members are welcome to attend our ongoing and upcoming Austin-Area Events: Reading Circles, Writing Circles, workshops, etc.

Be Our Guest! programs are held in Austin and are free to the public. Come join us and learn more about the Story Circle Network!
