Catherine Cogburn, M.A.,L.P.C., serves on the Board of Directors of The Story Circle Network, and as Co-Director of the Older Women's Legacy Project. She has developed special programs and manages publicity and public relations campaigns, and is recognized for her work on the instructional design of The Older Women's Legacy Circle workbook. Catherine brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Story Circle Network, largely due to her background as a practicing psychotherapist. She has worked with individuals, groups and corporations using the writing process as a way of natural problem solving. Through her private practice and work with numerous corporations, she has also used writing as a way to heal psychologically and physically. She currently uses guided writing sessions to help her clients understand the cycle of grief and loss. Catherine believes women should be encouraged to tell their stories to pass on to future generations and to define who we are and the ways in which we have shaped society and our culture.
Before joining Story Circle Network, Catherine was a consultant with the international consulting firm Drake Beam Morin. She worked with Fortune 500 firms to provide career counseling and psychological assessment testing to employees affected by corporate downsizing. |
