How much does it cost?

  • Early registration (before December 31, 2010): $400 for SCN members, $435 for non-members (includes a 1-year membership)
  • Regular registration: $425 for SCN members, $460 for non-members (includes a 1-year membership) The fee includes two nights in a triple-occupancy room and five meals. For a single-occupancy room, the rate is $25/night higher.

    Participants have the option of an on-your-own Sunday night stayover. Triple-occupancy rate for this extra night is $62; single-occupancy rate is $87.

    You can pay online (electronic funds transfer or credit card) or by check. Payment information can be found on the next page, after you submit the form.

    NOTE: One of our members has generously offered to have a few women stay overnight at her house near Festival Hill, rather than staying at the retreat center. If you are interested, please contact Suzanne Mitchell. Please note that your registration fee will be decreased by the room charge only—you will still pay for all meals except for breakfast (which is part of the room charge). The regular registration prices for this option: $301 for SCN members; $336 for non-members.

    The Story Circle Board has approved a tuition subsidy called "Sisters Helping Sisters" for the LifeLines Writing Retreat. It is available to those who have paid their full registration fee (either in full at the time of their registration, or through the installment program). The subsidy will be paid by check when the awards are announced. You can find information about the subsidy, as well as the application form, here: "Sisters Helping Sisters: SCN's Tuition Subsidy Program" application. If you are qualified for this assistance, we hope you will apply.

    What is included in my registration fees?

    Your registration includes:
    1. Five workshop sessions (Friday evening; Saturday morning, afternoon, and evening; Sunday morning)
    2. Meals: Friday dinner; Saturday breakfast, lunch, & dinner; Sunday breakfast.
    3. Snacks/drinks during breaks
    4. Two nights stay in triple-occupancy accommodations (three twin beds in each room). Check-in time is 4pm on Friday; check-out time is noon on Sunday.

    Refund Policy: Cancellations are accepted until February 1, 2011, and are subject to a cancellation fee of $50. After the refund deadline we will refund your money only if we are able to fill your place from our waiting list.
