The Story Circle Network has relaunched its newly enhanced book review website, StoryCircleBookReviews. The largest women's book review site on the Internet, StoryCircleBookReviews is already home to nearly four hundred reviews of books by, for, and about women. The site has a fresh look with many new features, and more planned in the coming months.
Previously, the site focused on women's memoirs and books about writing, but that focus has been widened. "We now feature reviews in more than two dozen categories, by some three hundred authors" says site co-editor, Susan Wittig Albert. "The most important addition: women's fiction, including mysteries, historical and mainstream novels, and Christian fiction. We also plan to review more books of special interest to women: food and cooking, arts and crafts, health, and relationships." A full list of categories can be found here.
The site's editors—Susan Wittig Albert, Paula Stallings Yost, and Linda Wisniewski—welcome well-written reviews of current, soon-to-come, or already-published women's books. For information about submitting reviews, go here. Authors and publishers wishing to have books reviewed will find complete information here.
StoryCircleBookReviews is supported by members of the Story Circle Network, a non-profit organization that encourages women to tell the stories of their lives. SCN has members in forty states and six foreign countries. Through its main office in Austin, Texas, the organization publishes a quarterly journal and sponsors a wide variety of educational programs.
