Be Our Guest
with Nathalie Sorrell

Sunday, March 26
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
LCRA Colorado Room,
3801 Lake Austin Blvd
Free

Nathalie co-founded the Truth Be Told Program, a non-profit organization providing transformational tools for women in prison. She will lead us in a variety of writing and communication exercises starting with "dump writing," then moving to an Interplay form, "I could tell you a story about..." We'll create a timeline that will give us 3 strong stories that can become the basis for anything from a journal entry to a 3 act play, a speech or a short story. Nathalie has more great ideas than we'll have time for, so come take advantage of this terrific opportunity to spend an afternoon of focused writing and discovery. This is also a great time to introduce your friends to Story Circle Network, so bring a few along.

We will spend a few minutes on business so we can officially elect our new Austin Chapter president, Sue Bilich. Be sure to come to this gathering so you can meet Sue and tell her how you would like to participate in the Austin Chapter.

Be Our Guest: Writing from the Body with Barbara Meyer
The body can be a rich resource for our writing. In this workshop we will use a variety of gentle movement exercises and guided imagery to increase body awareness, mindfulness and embodiment. Following our movement experience, we will write from this feeling, sensing place, using the body's voice.
