first of these is Susan Albert's six-week on-line "Writing From Life" Workshop.

Be Our Guest:
"Inspiring the Writer: Dreams and Active Imagination"
Maria Grace, Ph.D., L.P.C. will lead us into the exciting and rich
arena of the unconscious, to gain access to a deeper part of our imaginations.
She comes to us with international experience in studying, teaching and
practicing psychotherapy, and will demonstrate unique techniques to integrate
art, relicious traditions and the psychology of the unconscious into our
writing. Please join us for this FREE TO THE PUBLIC program on Sunday,
February 27, from 3-5pm, in the Colorado Room of the LCRA complex, 3700
Lake Austin Blvd. For more information, click on "Be
Our Guest!" on the Story Circle website.

Viet Nam "Regret to Inform" event
KLRU-TV has invited Story Circle to participate in a project to gather
the stories from women in the Austin area who lost loved ones during the
Viet Nam war. This local effort will be filmed and broadcast as a prelude
to the award-winning documentary, "Regret to Inform," a video memoir which
chronicles one woman's journey through grief to resolution. Mary
Warren, a volunteer who was in one of the first OWL workshops, is gathering
together her friends from the time they all worked together to bring home
our MIA-POWs. Mary's husband was killed in 1966, and through her efforts
to change the way our government reported MIAs, was finally able to bring
home his remains in 1986. Our hopes are to hold special writing sessions
for both American and Vietnamese women to capture these stories, and share
them with the KLRU audience. If any of you out there can help us with this
special project, please call Catherine Cogburn at the Story Circle office,
454-9833, or email at storycircle@storycircle.org.
For more information, please see the "Regret to Inform" web site (http://www.pbs.org/pov/regret).
